A doula offers preparation, emotional support, physical comfort, and practical help through birth and the early days with your baby. A midwife provides clinical maternity care. My role is non-medical. I help you prepare, feel supported, and communicate what matters to you. I do not perform medical procedures or replace your licensed care team.
I’m Lindsey Poth, founder of Beautifully Rooted Doula Care and your primary contact. I’m a DONA Certified Birth Doula and a Certified VBAC Doula through The VBAC Link. Our first conversation is a chance to get to know each other, talk about your family, and see whether my approach feels right for you. Learn more about Lindsey here.
I’m based in Westminster, Maryland, and serve families in Carroll, Frederick, and Howard counties and nearby Maryland communities. Coverage can differ for birth support, postpartum visits, and birth pool delivery. You’re welcome to share your city or ZIP code when you reach out so we can confirm the options for your location.
Reach out when you begin considering support. Connecting during pregnancy gives us time to discuss availability, prepare together, and plan for the early days at home. Later in pregnancy or after your baby arrives, you’re still welcome to ask about current options. You do not need to have a package or birth plan chosen before contacting me. Start with the inquiry form or email me. I usually reply within 1–2 business days to arrange a free 30-minute consultation. We’ll discuss the support you’re looking for, your timing and location, and any questions you have. Choose “Not sure yet” on the form if you haven’t decided on a service.
